23/12/2025 23/12/2025 EVERISS, Derek John Derek John EVERISS died on the 30th May 2025 at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Mr EVERISS suffered from a cardiac electrical disorder which necessitated the installation of a pacemaker in March 2024. The pacemaker device developed a significant infection which resulted in a diagnosis of infective endocarditis. He subsequently developed sepsis from which he did not recover. Mr EVERISS had a number of serious underlying health conditions which contributed to his deterioration

05/01/2026 05/01/2026 CORLESS, William Michael William Michael CORLESS died on the 30th September 2025 at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. On the 22nd September 2025, Mr CORLESS suffered an unwitnessed fall at his home and sustained traumatic facial fractures. Mr CORLESS developed aspiration pneumonia from which he did not recover. Mr CORLESS had significant underlying health conditions including dementia and Parkinson's Disease
05/01/2026 05/01/2026 HEAP, Susannah On the 15 September 2025 Susannah HEAP was found on the floor of her bedroom at Belvedere Manor Care Home, Colne, after the brakes were not applied to effect on her bed, allowing the creation of a gap between the bed and the wall into which she fell, striking her head and causing an intracranial haemorrhage from which she subsequently died at the home on the 17 September 2025.

05/01/2026 05/01/2026 WALSH, Robert Robert Eric WALSH died on the 26th September 2025 at Royal Preston Hospital. On the 22nd September, Mr WALSH suffered an unwitnessed fall at his home and sustained an acute on chronic bilateral subdural haemorrhage which was exacerbated by his low platelet count. There were no treatment options available for Mr WALSH, who had significant underlying health conditions and including angina, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic kidney disease

06/01/2026 06/01/2026 JONES, Penelope Anne Penelope Anne JONES died on the 20th May 2025 at the Royal Preston Hospital as a consequence of sepsis caused by an infection to her hip following surgery which was needed after she sustained a fracture to her hip. Mrs JONES' fracture was not caused by trauma. Following the fracture in 2023, she underwent surgery to remove her hip and endured a lengthy recovery. In 2024 Mrs JONES suffered an infection to her hip which recurred in 2025. She was admitted to hospital on two occasions but was not suitable for surgical management and despite treatment with antibiotics she did not recover. Her care was re-orientated to palliative care prior to her death.
