09/01/2026 09/01/2026 BRIERLEY, Philip Philip BRIERLEY died on the 5th of October 2025 at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary as a result of a myocardial infarction or heart attack. Mr BRIERLEY had a number of underlying heath conditions which had been contributed to be drug dependence and alcoholic cirrhosis of his liver as well as diabetes.

09/01/2026 09/01/2026 PATUREAU, Juan Pedro Juan Pedro PATUREAU died on the 29th September 2025 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Mr PATUREAU had been admitted to hospital on the 5th August 2025 after he suffered a fall from his wheelchair whilst attempting to use a travelator at the St Peter's Centre, Burnley. As a consequence of the fall, Mr PATUREAU suffered a bleed within his brain which required him to stop taking blood thinning medication which he was prescribed to lower his risk of suffering a stroke or cardiac event. In the course of his hospital admission, Mr PATUREAU suffered a number of strokes from which he did not recover and died.
09/01/2026 09/01/2026 RIGBY, Derek Noel Derek Noel RIGBY died on 5th October 2025 at Royal Blackburn Hospital from Chronic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis. His death was contributed to by several naturally occurring illnesses, as well as asbestos related plural thickening, which he developed as a consequence of exposure to asbestos at work.

12/01/2026 12/01/2026 CATTERALL, Janet Janet CATTERALL died on the 7th October 2025 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Mrs CATTERALL had been diagnosed in 2024 with mesothelioma and in 2025 she commenced immunotherapy with palliative intent. She died as a result of multi organ failure caused by side effects of the immunotherapy. The side effects are a known complication of the treatment. Mrs CATTERALL's mesothelioma was more likely than not caused by exposure to asbestos in her previous working life.
