HAWKER, Brian
|
Brian HAWKER died on the 13th of October 2025 at the Royal Preston Hospital as a result of bleeding within his brain. Mr HAWKER had suffered a significant decline in his mobility in the year prior to his death and had suffered a number of falls. In the days leading up to the 30th of September 2025 Mr HAWKER had presented as confused and on that date he fell whilst out walking. It is not possible to determine whether an accident or general health and frailty reason caused his fall. Mr HAWKER was taken to hospital by ambulance where new and older bleeding within his brain was identified. He was managed with observations and withholding blood thinners initially. Mr HAWKER's blood thinners were later resumed by necessity due to other pre-existing health conditions. Following resumption of the blood thinners, Mr HAWKER's health deteriorated. Scans indicated that his bleeding within his brain had worsened and his care was re-orientated to palliative care prior to his death.
