24/10/2025 24/10/2025 CORRY, Noel James Mr Noel James CORRY suffered from head and neck cancer in 2015 for which he received radiotherapy. Following this he struggled with his swallow and was chronically underweight and suffered from malnutrition. He was admitted to Blackburn hospital on the 16th June 2025 and died on the 10th July 2025 from malnutrition caused by his previous cancer and radiotherapy. This was in the context of severe frailty and paraplegia caused by an accident he suffered in 2011. 
24/10/2025 24/10/2025 NELSON, Gary Paul Gary Paul NELSON was found deceased on the 20th July 2025. He had hanged himself using a power cable as a ligature which was suspended from the roof in his home. This was an impulsive act where he did not intend to cause his death.
27/10/2025 27/10/2025 BROOK, Pauline Mary Pauline Mary BROOK died on the 28th January 2025 at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary as a consequence of an infection to her hip prosthesis. Mrs BROOK had a hip replacement in 2009 and in January 2024 fell and fractured that prosthesis whilst on holiday. She had surgery abroad and was repatriated home where she appeared to make a good recovery. In August of 2024 she became unwell and was later diagnosed with an infection to her hip prosthesis. Mrs BROOK had a lengthy inpatient admission before being discharged home on the 21st January 2025, an error meant that she was discharged without all necessary medication. The following day Mrs BROOK's health deteriorated. She was readmitted to hospital where, despite further treatment, she did not survive.

28/10/2025 28/10/2025 FORBES, Gordon Gordon FORBES died on the 11th February 2025 at Blackburn Hospital from septicaemia caused by pneumonia. He was found in his home on the 10th February following a long lie and upon admission to the hospital that day, he was found to be suffering from an acute kidney injury which contributed to his death. It is not possible to determine whether Mr FORBES collapsed or fell at his home, and at the time of his admission had been taking antibiotics for a chest infection.
28/10/2025 28/10/2025 WHITFIELD, Elaine Ms Elaine WHITFIELD died at her home in Leyland Lancashire on the 1st June 2025 due to an acute exacerbation of her chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Ms WHITFIELD had undergone a right pneumonectomy for lung cancer in May 2025 which contributed to, but did not directly cause her death.
